The more life I live the harder it is to describe all the parts of me; all passionate, all different. Back in High School when they asked me what I want to do when I graduate, I used to always say:
“I just want to help people”
I was a creative, empathic, charismatic young woman ready for the adventure of life…
I have worked in the health & wellness industry for over 25 years running my own practice as an RMT, Herbalist and Trauma informed Somatic movement specialist. I have taught numerous classes and wrote articles on reflexology, massage basics, wholistic kids care, herbal medicine, core connexion / 5 rhythms movement classes, body awareness and taught many a corporate lunch ‘n’ learn focusing on nutrition and stress management for many years. I have managed multiple health food stores, and worked in clinics around the city, and now run a private practice from my home.
I create all my own websites and online marketing, which made the birth of my second business as a Content Creator a natural fit. Music, video, and photography have been life long hobbies as well as drawing, acrylic/watercolour painting and poetry. I also took a year in graphic design to bring many of these passions together during covid.
I’ve decided that as a Gen X cusp Millennial (born in 1980) it makes me uniquely qualified to live in two worlds. A world where I still grew up spending all my time outside, while also integrating into the social online world at 14 (far before many my age). I have one foot on the earth and one in silicon valley (so to speak).
I have also always been a traveller. Even as a single mom with 2 daughters (although they did anchor me a lot), I used to travel the world learning healing modalities from numerous indigenous traditions and now that the kids are older, I spend time abroad walking long distances across ancient wild lands, climbing mountains and exploring my Celtic roots. I am also a Parks of Calgary Ambassador where I share my walks, hikes and unique parks in Calgary and surrounding area.
I am a proud queer woman and life long learner, this includes my personal development which I share pretty openly on my social media platforms. Learning in this day and age, means unlearning A LOT (ie. decolonizing). My life and my work will always embrace diversity, equity and inclusivity.
Any more details on either of my businesses will be found within the SERVICES section or BLOG.
I look forward to connecting with you soon,
